On our recent cruise on the Norwegian Sky we had a lovely suite- cabin 9002. As you will see from the photos below (and the one above) this was an awesome room! I took the opportunity to check out several other rooms on the Sky-specifically on deck 9. Check out the photos and cabin numbers below!
First, our suite-9002:
The balcony was HUGE!
The bathroom had a jacuzzi tub and separate shower.
This is the smaller bedroom-designed to sleep 2. A porthole window was a cool way to let light into this sleeping nook.
This is the couch as a pull out bed- it could be a single or double. Technically the suite could have 6 guests.
We got beautiful roses!
Our fantastic butler Made decorated our suite for my son's 18th birthday!
A panoramic~
Deck 9 on the Norwegian Sky is touted by Cruise Critic as the nicest deck and I have to agree! I snapped a few photos of different rooms on deck 9 as well:
I was surprised to see how spacious the inside rooms were on the Sky. There was also a huge hallway for a group of inside rooms on the forward area of deck 9.
Cabin 9014 is a balcony room. I loved the porthole style window in the cabin!
As you can see above, the bathroom is pretty spacious-although the shower curtain might be bothersome to some cruisers.
Cabin 9009 was interesting as it is an oceanview room a few doors down from the balcony rooms!
I took photos of cabin 9006 as it was an oceanview mixed among balcony rooms that also offered pull down beds on either side of the main bed. This room can hold four cruisers. I asked the steward about the pinkish colored futon in the room and if it pulled out and he said it was only a chair. It was a bit raggedy though! I also asked him if cruisers bumped their heads on the pull down beds at all if they got up from the main bed and he said not really! 😏
Stay tuned for many more detailed posts about the Sky, our suite experience and Great Stirrup Cay, Norwegian's private island! 🌴

Great Stirrup Cay's Latest Dining Option- Tacos!
Abaco Taco is the latest complimentary dining option added to Great Stirrup Cay-the private island for Norwegian cruisers. I was really excited to try this new island spot as it is a unique option to the buffet lunch Norwegian provides. Situated just a short walk from the tequila bar Abaco Taco was open 11:30-2:15. The options for taco types were chicken, beef and fish. The tacos were soft shelled and prepared ahead of time in paper serving vessels- sans toppings. There is a topping bar to fill your soft tortilla taco up as much as you'd like! The meat in all three variations was on the spicier side-but I really enjoyed toning it down with toppings of guacamole and sour cream. For those of you who are non meat eaters have no fear- I asked the staff what a vegetarian guest would do. They informed me that anyone can ask for a plain flour tortilla and fill it up with toppings-which are hearty in nature. Those folks who are gluten free just need to ask for a bowl of their desired protein and they can top their meat or fish! Here is the beef taco option-
Here is the chicken taco option-
And here is the fish taco option-
The meats/fish are cooked in a sauce, so the taco is rather wet inside. The toppings bar consists of lettuce, onions, a yummy corn salsa that is filling and tasty, jalapeno peppers, red cabbage slaw (for the fish tacos), sour cream, salsa and guacamole. Here is a photo-
The only odd thing about the topping bar was there was no cheese! I asked and was told there was not a cheese option but many cruisers had inquired on past visits to GSC. It was certainly delicious without the cheese but the lack of it is surprising.
Drinks were offered as well-sodas, beer, wine and water-which were all part of the UBP package. Bottled drinks such as Powerade could be purchased with your sign and sail card as well.
The addition of this small but flavorful lunch spot is a wonderful addition to the food on GSC. The island is beautiful like always and has been receiving lots of upgrades-like Abaco Taco! 😃🌮 Enjoy these tacos on your next visit to Great Stirrup Cay!
